Action Plan

Goal 1: Develop a plan to provide entrepreneur educational opportunities for target populations in Nebraska

b. Adopt the Life Long Learning Model as a guide.	Completed
c. Utilize National Content Standards for E-Education as a framework.	Completed
d. Research and identify scholarship and grant programs to enhance opportunities	Completed. Goal 2: Develop a common resource center providing information and assistance for those interested in entrepreneurship

Goal 6: Infuse entrepreneurship education through all K-Adult career pathways

d. Provide outreach assistance and training for faculty to enhance entrepreneurship education	Ongoing	Nebraska Career Education Conference – June 4-5, 2007 (Entrepreneurship Focus Program and ESI curriculum
e. Create an ongoing dialogue with guidance counselors to establish value of entrepreneurship education as a viable career option	Ongoing	Career Connections should address this activity.
f. Develop model Personal Learning Plan (PLP) focusing on entrepreneurship as a career pathway		Career Connections should address this activity.

h. Partner with and enhance relationship with Nebraska Career Student Organizations such as DECA, FBLA, HOSA, FFA, SKILLS USA	Ongoing work by NDE	Communication with State advisors of each organization, identification of all entrepreneurship competitive events offered by each organization; assistance with entrepreneurship events at state conference.
i. Create a process for high school teachers and college instructors to work together to create curriculum and projects to teach entrepreneurship	Ongoing	Identify grants to help fund this activity.
